Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Ground chicken. You could absolutely substitute ground turkey.
  • Parmesan cheese. Obviously. It IS a chicken parm burger, after all.
  • Panko bread crumbs. This is a great binding ingredient and adds just a little texture too.
  • Marinara sauce. Use your favorite here.
  • Onion. Chop it fine if you are serving guests who say they don’t like onion.
  • Garlic. Finely mince to get the flavor throughout the burgers.
  • Parsley. Just another layer of flavor. Substitute dried parsley (1 T.) instead of fresh if you’d like.
  • Buns. Use what you like. You could wrap the patties in lettuce leaves instead.
  • Fresh mozzarella. Fresh provides the creamiest texture here.

How to Make Fabulous Chicken Parm Burgers

Step 1: Toss the chicken, Parm, bread crumbs, some of the marinara, onion, garlic, and parsley into a bowl.

Step 2: Mix to combine and shape into four patties the size of the buns. Ground chicken won’t shrink up like ground beef.

Step 3: Season with salt and pepper and cook until partially done.

Step 4: Flip, season again, and pour the remaining marinara sauce into the skillet around the patties.

Step 5: Add the cheese, cover the skillet, and cook until done.

Give these juicy Chicken Parmesan Burgers a try. You won’t be disappointed.
